STATEMENT FROM VIRGINIA INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIP, LLCANNOUNCES CHANGE IN EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP
November 27, 2013 -- Virginia Investment Partnership, LLC (VIP) today announced that Bob Farren has voluntarily stepped down as Chairman and CEO. Bob asked the Board of Managers to take an active role in bringing Edelman Financial Field to fruition and additional functions. Bob will remain a Board Member, investor and will now hold the title of “Founder”.
The VIP Board of Managers is also announcing Mark Stavish as the interim Chairman and CEO. Mark currently serves on the Board of Managers and has been a long-time investor in VIP. Mark is the Founder of Evergreen Partners, LLC and has previously served as an Executive Vice President of Human Resources of America Online (AOL) and was responsible for the build-out of the current AOL campus in Loudoun. Mark is a long-time Loudoun County Resident.
In announcing the above changes, the Board of Managers reinforced their dedication to bringing baseball to Loudoun County. To that end, the Board is committed to ensuring we have the plan and organization in place to deliver baseball.
